WELCOME  to Ch "Bushido's" Candid Photo Page
He is 5 years below.  A very typey boy with thick correct ears, nice dark triangular eyes, dark pigment and gorgeous blunt triangular head - ...typey..typey...typey.  Bushido has succeeded in passing his gorgeous breed type to his children along with his lovely temperament.
Proof of his lovely temperament (above)- this is new pal 2 yr old Jeremy who Bushido just met since Jeremy and his parents came to visit OshoZen Akitas to learn more about the breed and to meet our dogs.  Jeremy thought the floor was comfy too as long as he could snuggel up to Bushido. I think Jeremy thought he was in trouble - I just couldn't resist taking the picture.
Bushido's just surveying the yard (left) while the little ones play - his little ones that is.  He is a wonderful daddy dog - playful and gentle even when they don't deserve it.

Those spots on his legs are called "ticking" or freckles - his are red most others are black if they have them.

A tall secure fenced yard is a must for an Akita - they like it better too.  Plastic fence weaving is great to reduce eye contact with obnoxious neighbor dogs.  Bushido loves all of them but we can't say the same for the meanie on the other side of the fence.
Above left and right - Bushido is watching & pacing while the girls played and wondered why he couldn't play too - his daughter "Soudai" was in season so he was grounded to his run while she was out - he just couldn't understand that since he always played so nicely with everyone :-) poor darlin.
Another tribute to his character - Bushido just finished competing for Breed to the cheers of his fan club the Medeiros children.  3 of the 4 boys ( 4th in diapers) are his staunchest admirers as they patiently awaited the arrival of their "Bushido" puppy - "Fozzie".  This particular photo opportunity earned "Bushido" the nickname of "The Nice Akita" from the judges both in the ring and outside it when they watched me turn his lead over to the children, put him in a sit stay and allow the photos to be taken without me.  "Bushido" adores children and longs to go to shows just for this type of interaction - I of course love to indulge him anytime I can.  He is a wonderful breed ambassador.

"Bushido" is pictured with my  nieces Sara and Rachel when they were visiting Texas for the first time during the holidays.  He is 7.5 years old in this photo.
Ch "Bushido" with some of his kids with "Sassy"... he used to be able to escape to the couch to get away from nipping ankle biters but not anymore :o) - that's Ch."Shiner" watching over them all.
